The Problem
A broker representing a U.S. based construction company was struggling with low employee enrollment in the client’s insurance plan, despite the client covering 90% of the premium costs.
The Solution
AXIS Group Benefits created a plan design that focused on the benefits employees valued most and revamped communications to clearly highlight the employer's generous contribution compared to the employee’s cost.
The Outcome
Participation increased from 30 to 110 employees, a 266.67% rise in enrollment.
This significant improvement helped the company attract and retain the workforce needed for newly contracted projects.
Additionally, the higher participation rate is expected to reduce the risk of uninsured employees misclassifying off-the-job injuries as work-related, positively impacting the management of the company’s Workers’ Compensation MOD factor.
